Rhine Hall Distillery Grappa
Grappa is produced from grape pomace, the leftovers from wine making. Grape pomace is the grape seed, stem, and skin. Rhine Hall works with local wineries, focusing on single grape varieties. Rhine Hall Grappa is a bit floral, bringing out the pretty yet subtle notes from the varietal in bottle. Bottled batch #8 and on, should all be stamped with the varietal.
An Austrian experience in the 70's was the seed that grew into a family and friends' dream to produce local spirits. The distillery is owned and operated by Charlie and Jenny, a father-daughter team. The special recipe and process was developed by Charlie and Stan the Man with help from both sides of the Atlantic.
